San Juan River and River Walk in Pagosa Springs
The San Juan River is a major river in Colorado. It provides for the chief snow melt and drainage for the Four Corners areas of Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Arizona. The river source is in the Rockie Mountains and it runs 383 miles.
The San Juan River also flows through the town of Pagosa Springs. There is a wonderful paved river walk that runs through the town and past the Hot Springs and the town park. During all seasons, the river and river walk can be enjoyed by foot or by bike weather permitting. The scenery is beautiful and abundant.
You will find people fishing along the river and the city bridge, hoping for a big catch!
